I suggest everyone at least try it for the time being!Įdit: Well I guess I'm an idiot. It isn't without hiccups and I hope they iron it out a bit more down the road. To summarize, it was really cool being able to stream my Xbox One to my PC so kudos to Microsoft for all the hard work making it possible. I still managed to come out on top or near the top of the boards on each game, but I don't see myself using it on my SP3 as much because of the slightly worse performance. It was actually still playable but it would definitely get annoying after a while. My WIFI is usually pretty stable but there were hiccups here and there while playing where the sound would pop and the screen would freeze up for a split second. Surface Pro 3 Performance: This was overall a worse experience than my desktop. Everything was just a tad bit blurry but still very playable I will say however that the visual quality isn't as sharp as if I had just hooked my Xbox One up to my screen. I was able to finish at the top of the boards in most games I played. There was little to no lag when playing on my desktop which is likely due to the wired internet connection. You can use an Xbox 360 controller and dongle, which I do have, but I couldn't find my Xbox 360 controller to test! When I do find it I will try it out.ĭesktop Performance: This is my gaming desktop.

I do not have a dongle yet for my Xbox One controller (I don't think one has been released yet, only announced) so I was just using it in the same room as my Xbox One having it paired with the actual Xbox. The desktop PC is wired to my router while my SP3 is on WIFI.

To answer a few questions, I have tried this on both my desktop PC and my Surface Pro 3.
